Copperplate Style

Copperplate calligraphy is a form of calligraphic script dating back to the 18th Century. The elegant lettering and flourishes of this script image the importance of writing slowly with careful attention to weight and stroke. The beauty of copperplate script is born through the practice and habit of slow, deliberate writing. The action of the pen is one of pressure-release. The end product results in lettering beautiful as well as elegant.
